Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo users are eagerly waiting on fire for their Lollipop update, the Original Note 3 has already been updated a while ago. YouMobile is trying to gather all info about this Note 3 Neo updates for its readers. Here’s what we got so far.
@cric_champ Hi Suraj, the update rolls out in fases. We have no further information on when this will be for the Note 3 Neo ^MB
— Samsung Nederland (@Samsung_NL) April 29, 2015
SamsungNederland confirmed via twitter a week ago that Galaxy Note 3 Neo update will roll-out in “phases”, like any other update it will be a staged roll-out that will be available region-by-region / carrier-by-carrier. However, Samsung Nederland still doesn’t have any release date on when the update will start rolling-out yet.
Samsung published an official Firmware update for the Galaxy Note 3 Neo (SM-N750) with Android build 4.4.2 KitKat to India (INS), the update has a very fresh build date (April,8 2015) which is exactly one month ago. This release is a Preparation update for the Lollipop release, in some cases Samsung tends to release a minor update before a major one as a preparation, this means that Samsung’s development team is working on the Note 3 Neo firmware developments.

And Thanks to ChainFire for all the work they have been done.
*Here is the tutorial on how to root Jelly Bean 4.3 Android 4.4.2 on Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N7505 Using CF-Auto-Root:
Prerequisites:
Step 1: Download and extract the following files:
Download:
CF-Auto-Root-hllte-hlltexx-smn7505.zip
Odin v3.09
You should get a .tar.md5 file within extracted folder. Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.09.exe along with few other files. You could use any extracting software such a WinZip, Winrar or 7zip to extract files.
Step 2: Put Your Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N7505 In Download Mode
Now turn off your phone and wait few seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off. Then boot it into the Download Mode. To do that press and keep holding the Volume down and Home button at the same time, with these two buttons pressed press the Power Button all simultaneously. When a warning message is displayed press on the Volume Up button to continue to the process.
Step 3: Run Odin
Now run Odinv3.09.exe in as an Administrator because an Admin privilege is required to complete this installation process without any hiccups. Now connect your phone with your PC using USB cable. Once you connect, you will see a message under Odin’s message box in the bottom left-panel displaying “Added”. You should also see ID: COM port with a number and colored box in Yellow/Blue i.e. if you successfully added your device, if not then you can do the following Steps:
In Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are only two that are selected. DO NOT SELECT ANY OTHER OPTION! Click the AP button and select that file CF-Auto-Root-hllte-hlltexx-smn7505.tar.md5 you downloaded earlier in Step 1 with extension .tar.md5. Now, once you are ready, hit the START button to begin the flashing process. This process may take a minute or two to finish. Please do not disconnect your phone once Odin sets in motion. As the installation process completes, your phone will reboot itself and you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect it from the computer.
The SUPERUSER will also let you inhibit the KNOX

11. Auto change governor and I/O Scheduler
a) I/O Scheduler (Best: MTD devices – VR; EMMC devices – SIO) – needs kernel with these
echo "vr" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler or echo "sio" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler

b) SE supl for A-GPS (better than Nokia’s or Google’s)
SUPL_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com SUPL_PORT=7275
Other tweaks or guidelines
1. Patch your hosts file for blocking Ads
(please think before doing this; many developers are supported through this way)
You can use AdFree application for this or changing manually your hosts file. Here are some databases: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.txt http://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlist.php?showintro=0;hostformat=hosts
2. Use CyanogenMOD’s APN list file – it’s one of the most complete.
It's located in /system/etc/apns-conf.xml
3. Use UOT kitchen for basic theming on your device.
http://uot.dakra.lt/
4. Use Google’s dns servers
Create an empty file, name it resolv.conf and put there these 2 lines: nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 Save to /system/etc/.
5. Update Superuser and su binary to latest version (3.0 beta)
http://goo-inside.me/superuser/
6. Disable sync feature in sqlite
(author: ownhere – needs a source for your device so you can compile the /system/lib/libsqlite.so)
